I am excited to be teaching 5th, 6th, and 7th grade Social Studies and Science. I have a background in history in social studies from my time in the United States Marines. I enlisted in 2009 and served a five year term. Much of my service was spent overseas in several countries. I learned much about history, both US and the World, as well as civics and social studies during this time. I was an instructor and led a large group of marines so I have experience managing diverse groups of individuals.

After the Marines, I attended the University of Phoenix for my Bachelors in Management and also a Project Management Certificate. I have also almost completed my Masters in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. I successfully started my own business with my wife, and we continue that business on the side while also teaching. This business falls within the natural sciences. We work with exotic animals and breed and sell them. It takes a lot of research and science to make this industry successful.

Teaching and instructing has always been my passion. I love helping others grow and improve themselves, while also improving my own growth during the experience. I am enthusiastic about this opportunity to enrich the educational experience of my students by sharing my love of Social Studies and Science with them. I hope to find ways to make these subjects interesting and engaging for my students so that they will enjoy the experience and retain the lessons they earn in my room for years to come.
